We are delighted that Purple Hippo Web Design has been chosen by The Essex University Autonomy Project to design and build them a new website.
The Autonomy Project applies resources from philosophy to the challenges associated with frontline practice in medicine, psychiatry, social work and the law. They provide guidance, training and advice to help organisations meet this challenge.
They are currently involved in investigating compliance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the UK and they need an accessible website to reflect those rights.
One of the challenges will be making the various PDF publications as accessible as possible within the department’s budget and we are currently looking into ways of achieving this.
Sara and I went to the University to meet with Project Director; Professor Wayne Martin, and Project Officer; Becky Parsons and we are really looking forward to working with them over the coming months.
