We designed and built a new, engaging and relevant website for Catseye to help them step up their business development activities.
Catseye is a boutique leadership development consultancy which works with big professional service firms and multi-national businesses who place a premium on developing their people.
Catseye wanted a website design that portrayed their brand spirit and avoided corporate bland. They wanted it to be bold but professional and easy to navigate. As a group of very creative individuals they wanted to work with a small team who would listen, collaborate and get them from the whiteboard to the web.
Our team included web designer Sara, content marketer Aisleen and developer/ project manager Angie. We worked very closely with Jamie and Flea from Catseye to understand their brief and provide a number of different design solutions.
Catseye use post it notes during some of their workshops so we decided to incorporate them into one of the designs along with polaroid style profile images for the team members to give an informal and fun feel. This was the design they choose.
We created custom aeroplane illustrations for their different services to indicate leadership and going faster. These worked inline with the hand-drawn illustrations that they use for their blog posts and resources.
Catseye were keen to have video loops playing for some of their case studies which had to be square and this presented a bit of a challenge because gifs were very slow to load and would affect website speed, especially on mobiles. But we love a challenge and found a way of creating square mp4 video loops which load much faster and sit happily next to static images in the case study grid.
WordPress development and build
The website is a custom WordPress theme which used the new Gutenberg editor for blog and resource posts. The website has been built so Catseye can easily add new regular content in the form of case studies, timeline story items, resources and blog posts.
Catseye are thrilled with the new website. It’s early days but we are looking forward to seeing how it helps them win more business.
“We loved working with you to create a website which is such a great reflection of our brand – who we are and what we do shines out from the pages. Thank you again”
